The South Texan Monthly won the 2009 National Best Newsletter Award

Congratulations to The South Texan! During the AIChE Leadership Development Conference held in June, 2009, The South Texan newsletter was voted Best Newsletter! Congratulations to the entire South Texan team, including our editor Susan Cannon, our entire ExComm (Todd, Alan, David, Jasmine, Hiren, Ken), Workshop Chairs (Lou, Jack, Todd, Gary, Jo-Tsu/Akin, Shilpa), Advertising rep (Daniel), vital volunteers like Tom Menn, Richard Newman, Dave Silarski & Dennis Griffith, The YPs (Carol, Nemoy, et al), member submitters, our sponsors and advertisers, and of course our subscribers, members, and readers. The newsletter exists to record our events and accomplishments for posterity. It is fantastic that the combined efforts of those who work so hard to provide content for our meetings and organize them into a readable, deliverable format are recognized by our peers.  Award Announcement

The South Texan Monthly won the 2003 Marx Isaacs Award for Outstanding Large Section Newsletter!  

The South Texan is published electronically, in pdf format. Our publication date is approximately 2 weeks before the monthly meeting. We publish The South Texan from the month of September through the month of May. We do not publish summer issues.

We migrated to a paperless newsletter in September 2004. We maintain an email list to notify our members when the next issue is available on the website.
